The Processor had grown significantly over the years through acquisitions, resulting in a fragmented mesh of technology, applications, processes, and practices. Different parts of the enterprise were at different maturities in the digital transformation journey, and each group brought a different interpretation of an API to the table. Multiple user interfaces and the complexities associated with various business processes and standards introduced a lack of uniformity and consistency for their customers. When one of the largest card schemes demanded the appropriation of a few services through clean APIs, this acted as a trigger for this processor to give shape to their digital transformation program, and they decided to embark on a journey to expose all market-facing services in the form of APIs for consumption by partner ecosystems and monetization thereof. RS Software was selected as the partner of choice for this transformation.
RS Software leveraging its payment innovation framework provided a roadmap for transforming non-standard APIs and non-APIs to standard APIs, removing cross-system duplicate services, and providing discoverable catalogues in time within budget.
Throughout this engagement, RS worked on 9 Subsystems addressing 1028 Endpoints. These included Card Issuance, Banking, Payments, Fraud Prevention, Payment Networks, Loyalty, Debit, Credit, and Identity.
Innovation DNA combines the best of RS corporate values to focus on constantly adding value to customers’ business
