RS Software actively participated in the Analytics Global Conference 2025, organized in association with the Analytics Society of India. The conference aimed to foster learning, research, and practical applications of analytics in Eastern India, with a strong focus on human-centered data analytics and technology for sustainable development. Our presence at this event underscored RS Software’s commitment to innovation, responsible AI, and data-driven transformation.
Key Highlights
At the inaugural ceremony, CEO Raj Jain represented RS Software alongside distinguished industry leaders. He shared insights into the company’s long-standing expertise in analytics and its role in shaping digital payment solutions worldwide. Raj also spoke about RS Software building one of the key arms of India Stack which is India’s payment stack covering UPI, BBPS and EFRM (uses AI/ML to protect all digital transactions). The data exhaust of the India Stack demands high-grade data analytics for real-time analysis and action thereof. He also mentioned that in October 2024, NVIDIA's CEO, Jensen Huang, visited India to participate in the company's AI Summit held in Mumbai. During this event, he emphasized India's potential to transform from an IT outsourcing hub into an AI innovation ecosystem, leveraging its vast data and computing expertise. AGC and ASI is helping to enable India into this journey and congratulated Suparna Dhar and team for the initiative.
Sumit Misra participated in an engaging panel discussion on ‘Responsible AI and Data Analytics for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth’. He highlighted the challenges of interpreting data due to cognitive biases such as intuitive misunderstanding, availability heuristic, confirmation bias, and anchoring bias, which often lead to misinterpretations of statistical concepts and the confusion between correlation and causation. It emphasized the need to detect and eliminate bias in AI models, citing real-world examples where AI-driven hiring and lending systems exhibited discrimination.
The discussion also addressed the growing AI skills gap, with reports indicating that only 12% of IT professionals have significant AI experience, while AI spending is expected to surpass $550 billion in 2024, exacerbating the 50% talent gap. Organizations face barriers to AI upskilling due to budget constraints and limited access to technology. Sumit also touched upon the widespread application of AI across various industries and the importance of nurturing young talent by providing them with access to data and real-world problem-solving opportunities through platforms like Kaggle, AIcrowd, and HackerRank.
Some interesting takeaways from the session were:
Next, Pallabi Banerjee presented a paper on ‘Gen AI-Assisted Copilot for Risk Analysts’ which was one of the most engaging segments of the conference, generating immense interest among attendees.
The paper introduced the development of a Gen AI-assisted copilot integrated within a fraud detection solution, aimed at optimizing fraud alert investigation. The copilot leverages a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) model that combines a Random Forest (RF) machine learning model as the retriever and a fine-tuned Large Language Model (LLM) for generating contextual responses. By classifying fraud alerts, measuring similarity with historical data, and predicting the next action, the system automates decision-making while generating natural language recommendations for analysts. This approach significantly reduces manual workload, increases operational efficiency, and allows risk analysts to focus on critical, high-priority cases. The result is a robust system that enhances the speed and accuracy of fraud detection, investigation, and resolution, ultimately improving risk analyst productivity by almost 2.5 times.
RS Software’s participation at the Analytics Global Conference 2025 reinforced our thought leadership in AI and data analytics. The enthusiastic response from attendees reaffirms the growing importance of AI-driven analytics in the payments industry. Moving forward, RS Software will continue to innovate and lead the way in responsible AI adoption, ensuring a safer and more inclusive digital ecosystem.
